PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of effectively suppressing a void phenomenon and an uneven density phenomenon by decreasing the frictional coefficient of the surface of an intermediate transfer body to improve the transferability to a recording medium.SOLUTION: When a toner adhesion mode is selected, a control part 90 transmits a control signal to a motor control circuit 41 and starts the drive of each device. Then, in a state where the linear velocity of photoreceptor drums 1a to 1d is decreased and a linear velocity difference between the photoreceptor drums 1a to 1d and the intermediate transfer belt 8 is set, a first adhesion step is carried out in which toner images are formed on the photoreceptor drums 1a and 1d and an image pattern is output to the surface of the intermediate transfer belt 8. Next, an idle rotation step is carried out in which the intermediate transfer belt 8 is idly rotated for 30 seconds while the linear velocity of photoreceptor drums 1a to 1d is decreased. Finally, a second adhesion step is carried out in which a predetermined number of times of intermediate image patterns are output. |
