PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid-liquid extraction unit capable of downsizing a facility without degrading the efficiency of extracting/separating rare-earth elements, and to provide a multistage liquid-liquid extraction apparatus, and a multistage continuous extraction device combining a plurality of the multistage liquid-liquid extraction apparatus.SOLUTION: The liquid-liquid extraction unit is composed such that a foamed water phase is introduced into the upper part 20 of one end side in a horizontal direction of the extraction/saparation tank 10, a foamed organic phase is introduced into the lower part 30, and thereby the organic phase moving from the lower part to the upper part of the tank 10 is brought into contact with the water phase moving from the upper part to the lower part. The organic phase after contact is discharged from the upper part 40 of the other end side in the horizontal direction and collected, and the water phase after contact is discharged from the lower part 50. Thus, the unit, apparatus or facility can be downsized while maintaining a sufficient extraction efficiency, and thus a footprint can be lessened to a large extent. Further, since a liquid amount to be treated can be lessened to a large extent, the expense required for extraction and separation of the rare earth elements can be greatly reduced. |
