PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for surely detecting damage of a coating layer of a measuring object the surface of which is covered with the coating layer and that moves at a predetermined speed, during moving.SOLUTION: A coating layer monitoring system 10 according to the present invention includes; a thermal barrier coating layer 11 formed by covering the surface of a turbine rotor blade 43 rotating at a predetermined speed and, when excitation light R1 having a first wavelength is applied thereto, emitting fluorescent light K2 having a second wavelength; a light source 12 for applying the excitation light R1 having the first wavelength to the thermal barrier coating layer 11; and a spectrometer 13 provided in a moving-direction forward side of the measuring object with respect to the light source 12 and detecting the fluorescent light K2 having the second wavelength. |
