PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner having a crankcase heater in which a compressor can be controlled to start by using an existing temperature sensor to determine whether it is a return from a temporary de-energized state due to power failure or the like on the basis of a detection temperature of the temperature sensor.SOLUTION: In an air conditioner 1 in which a compressor 10 is provided with a crankcase heater 40, and which is provided with a start control unit 42 for energizing the crankcase heater 40 upon power supply and starting the compressor 10 after the elapse of a predetermined time, a start prohibition release means 43 is provided which determines return from a temporary de-energized state due to power failure or the like if a temperature difference is a set temperature or more on the basis of the temperature difference (Td-Tout) between a discharge pipe temperature Td detected with a discharge pipe temperature sensor 44 and an outside air temperature Tout detected with an outside air temperature sensor 45 during the return from the de-energized state, and releases start prohibition of the compressor 10 by the start control unit 42. |
