PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily concatenate a multi-column coil to other tubular bodies as for a medical device of a catheter or the like having a long tubular body.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a medical device includes a process that forms a tubular body being long and having flexibility that is inserted in a body cavity. The process that forms the tubular body includes the following processes. A first process that prepares a first tubular body (multi-column coil 310) that is composed by winding two or more wires 311 in a spiral shape to become a parallel state being arranged in an axis direction. A process in which in a first welding part 312 that extends to a cross direction to the circumferential direction of the first tubular body, the two or more wires 311 adjoining together are each melted partially, thereby the two or more wires 311 are welded together. A process in which in a second welding part 313 of a ring shape surrounding the first tubular body, the two or more wires 311 are each melted partially, and thereby the two or more wires 311 are welded together. A process that connects one end of the second tubular body with the second welding part 313 to concatenate the second tubular body to the first tubular body. |
