PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable testing of a test object which is larger in capacity than a power source for charging/discharging.SOLUTION: When testing a secondary battery mounted on a battery tray B2, a plurality of testing side terminal pairs 4 of a charge/discharge testing device A and a plurality of tested side terminal pairs 23 of the battery tray B2 are connected respectively. With this connected state, a control system section 6 reads information stored in an information storage section 24 of the battery tray B2 via an information output section 25 and an information input terminal 7 using an information reading section 6b. According to the read information, if a capacity of a secondary battery 21 connected to the testing side terminal pairs 4 exceeds a capacity of a power source 5 for charging/discharging, the secondary battery 21 is tested by driving a plurality of power sources 5 for charging/discharging in parallel.
