PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a developing device and an image forming apparatus capable of preventing a developer from being uselessly ejected from a developing unit.SOLUTION: If a developing unit 72 is stopped at a position where a developer receiving port 120 becomes an upward opening state (scope P) and a developer adhesion surface 122 becomes an upward facing state (scope S), a large quantity of developer G is unexpectedly ejected outside the developing unit 72 compared with the case where the developing unit is stopped at other positions. A control part 126 controls a motor 124 and does not stop the revolving developing unit 72 at a position where the developer receiving port 120 becomes an upward opening state and the developer adhesion surface 122 becomes an upward facing state. Therefore, the developer G can be suppressed from being uselessly ejected (unexpectedly ejected) from the developing unit 72. |
