The device has a cable support (42) for supporting a cable harness (10) in a predetermined alignment position. A positioning pin (72) positions the cable support in a predetermined mounting position relative to a headlamp of a car, where lugs (50-58) releasably retains the cable harness on the cable support in a predetermined orientation. The lugs are formed such that the cable harness is attached to the headlamp after the cable support is positioned in the mounting position relative to the car headlamp.
