PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information appliance which can automatically and reliably be switched between an imaging function and other functions.SOLUTION: An information appliance having an imaging function and other functions, includes: a photographic lens 2; an image pick-up device 3 for converting an image formed by the photographic lens 2 into image signals; a determination unit which, on the basis of the image signals, determines whether an image of user's face is formed in the first imaging range of the image pick-up device 2 or in the second imaging range of the image pick-up device 3; a selection unit which selects one of the imaging function and the other functions in accordance with the determination result; and a display panel 8 for displaying a subject image based on the image signals. |
