ECONOMICAL DRIVING GEAR CONFIRMATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENGINE-DRIVEN VEHICLE

An economical driving gear confirmation system (100) for an engine-driven vehicle. The gear confirmation system (100) comprises a data processor (1), a vehicle operating data collection module (2), a result output module (3), and a configuration memory (4). The configuration memory (4) stores a universal characteristic curve of the engine, speed ratios of gears of the gearbox, a primary reduction ratio and a tire rolling radius. The vehicle operating data collection module (2) collects the current vehicle speed, engine rotation speed and engine torque, and transmits the same to the data processor (1). The data processor (1) determines, on the basis of invoking the universal characteristic curve of the engine, the speed ratios of gears of the gearbox, the primary reduction ratio and the tire rolling radius in the configuration memory (4), a current gear and an economical gear. The data processor (1) outputs the economical gear through the result output module (3) when the economical gear is not equal to the current gear. The system is capable of determining the economical gear of the vehicle in real time, changing bad driving behaviors of a driver, and helping to lower oil consumption.
