The windshield wiper arm (10) has first partial arm (20) that is pivotally mounted on second partial arm (30) using a swivel bearing. A locking element (40) is provided between the partial arms and is displaced between release position and locking position. The swiveling of the swivel bearing is enabled during release position of the locking element, and swiveling of the swivel bearing is cancelled during locking position of the locking element. The locking element is fixed into a recess (50) formed in first or second partial arm.
