The arrangement has plane shim coils (9) arranged along a circumference of a retainer (5) and provided in common coil planes in a consecutive manner. The common coil planes lie vertical to a direction of a base magnetic field of a magnetic resonance device in a usage state and/or a longitudinal direction of the retainer. The shim coils are arranged opposite to each other relative to the retainer. The shim coils are provided on all sides of the retainer in a sagittal direction and transverse direction. A part of the shim coils is independently energized by a control device. An independent claim is also included for a local coil.
