The electrical circuit arrangement (1) has an electrical line (3,5) switchable against a reference voltage (VS) that higher or lower than a ground potential (GS). Another electrical line (4) is formed as a reference line, on which the reference voltage is applied. The electric lines are connected with a control device (14) for selecting the voltages applied to the control device. The control device is formed for controlling the circuit elements (9,10), for determining a line-specific voltage information (I3,I4,I5) and for indicating a short-circuit information. An independent claim is included for a method for determining an electric short-circuit between two parallel electric lines connected with a reference potential in an electrical circuit arrangement.
