PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device and a liquid crystal TV which prevent occurrence of deformation in an optical sheet.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal panel module 4 comprises, in order from its front face to its back face, a liquid crystal panel 41, an optical sheet 42 and a light guide plate 43. A front cabinet 2 is provided with an opening 21 through which a screen of the liquid panel 41 is exposed. The front cabinet 2 has first ribs 22 formed around the opening 21 on its back face and second ribs 23 formed around the opening 21 on its back face in positions further from the opening 21 than the first ribs 22. The first ribs 22 are higher than a total thickness of the liquid crystal panel 41 and the optical sheet 42, and the second ribs 23 are higher than a total thickness of the liquid crystal panel 41, the optical sheet 42, and the light guide plate 43. The light guide plate 43 is accommodated in the area surrounded by the second ribs 23 and its front peripheral edge part is in contact with the front end surfaces of the first ribs 22. |
