PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detection device capable of making more accurate detection of pedestrians.SOLUTION: An object detection device 1 includes a road-crossing pedestrian identifier 23 which determines whether or not an object is a road-crossing pedestrian RW. When an object is identified as a road-crossing pedestrian RW, a fusion processor 22 switches a search area from a fusion search area EF1, which is used when the object is not identified as a road-crossing pedestrian RW, to a fusion search area EF2. This allows the fusion search area for detecting objects to be changed to an area suitable for detecting road-crossing pedestrians RW, thereby improving the accuracy of detecting road-crossing pedestrians. |
