PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a decrease in productivity when two images cannot be temporarily transferred in alignment with each other.SOLUTION: While an intermediate transfer body to which an image of a first page is transferred, is rotated to a transfer position of an image of the second page, an image forming apparatus determines that transfer means cannot transfer the image of the second page in alignment with the image of the first page; and even after the intermediate transfer body is rotated one revolution after the image of the first page has been transferred to the intermediate body, when determining that the transfer means cannot transfer the image of the second page in alignment with the image of the first page, performs a control to transfer the image of the first page that has been transferred to the intermediate transfer body, to a sheet before the image of the second page is transferred to the intermediate transfer body. |
