The component (100) has a contactor movably arranged with respect to a carrier (110) i.e. plate. An actuator is provided with an interface i.e. plug (112), connecting to a mechanical component (116), and coupled with the contactor in order to transfer a movement of the mechanical component to the contactor. A cover (118) i.e. dust cover, spans and seals three contact portions, the contactor and a portion of the actuator coupled with the contactor against an outside environment. The cover comprises a fluid tight connection to a surface of the carrier. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an electromechanical component.
