PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a rubber composition, further enhancing the activity of a coupling function of a silane coupling agent and providing a rubber composition making suitable low heat generation.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a rubber composition containing a rubber component (A) containing at least one selected from natural rubbers and synthetic diene-based rubbers, a filler (B) containing an inorganic filler, a silane coupling agent (C), and at least one hydrazide compound (D) represented by formula (I) includes kneading the rubber composition in a plurality of steps, wherein in a first step of kneading, the rubber component (A), the whole or a part of the inorganic filler (B), the whole or a part of the silane coupling agent (C), and the hydrazide compound (D) are kneaded. In the formula, R, R, Rand Rare each independently selected from alkyl groups, alkenyl groups and substituted aryl groups, and may have further a hydrazide site, and Rand Rmay bond to each other to form an alkylene group. |
