PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved arrangement for content usage control using a revocation list.SOLUTION: An information storage device such as a memory card stores a converted title key that is obtained by converting a title key to be used to decrypt an encrypted content, and its data processing unit generates a subkey to be used to calculate the title key from the converted title key. The data processing unit: refers to a revocation list in which invalidation information of an information processing device that carries out the decryption of the encrypted content may be registered; compares, if the identifier (host ID) of the information processing device is included in the revocation list, an issue date and time indicating a date and time when the encrypted content was recorded onto the information storage device with a revocation date and time when the information processing device was invalidated; and generates the subkey and outputs it to the information processing device to make the content available if the issue date and time is older than the revocation date and time.
