PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiconductor cable assembly which is flexible, has good electrical and mechanical properties and requires only a small space, and thus is useful for wiring public utility equipment, for power and signal transmission between fixed and movable parts of motor vehicles, and for office automation equipment and the like.SOLUTION: A multiconductor cable assembly and a method of making the multiconductor cable assembly are disclosed. The multiconductor cable assembly comprises a conductor 11 and a covering 10 comprising a thermoplastic resin composition. The thermoplastic resin composition comprises a poly(arylene ether), a polyolefin, and a polymeric compatibilizer. The thermoplastic resin composition may further comprise a flame retardant. |
