<p>This packaging device for flat panel displays is provided with a packing box (21) and cushioning materials (22, 23, 24). The packing box (21) accommodates a display body (1) provided with an outer case (5) that accommodates a display unit having a flat display panel (3) and a drive circuit block therefor. The cushioning materials (24) are accommodated with the display body (1) inside the packing box (21), and are disposed between the display body (1) and the packing box (21) at the top center and/or the bottom center. The cushioning materials (24) are provided with: first panel support sections (24a) that support the outer case (5) of the panel body (1); and second panel support sections (24b) that are positioned on the display surface side of the display panel (3), extend toward the center of the display panel (3) from the first panel support sections (24a), and form gaps between the display panel (3) and the packing box. The cushioning materials enable damage to a flat panel display due to mechanical shocks and the like received during transportation to be effectively prevented.</p> |
