Abstract A single stage power factor correction power supply is consisted of two transformers: a main transformer and an auxiliary transformer. The main transformer transfers energy from the primary circuit to secondary circuit. The auxiliary transformer is used to correct input current waveform. The advantage of this design over the two stages power supply is that the voltage across storage capacitor can be designed to be only slightly lower than the peak value of the rectified input voltage.
