PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery charge control device of a hybrid vehicle which can prevent the erroneous detection of an abnormality of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: An HV-ECU calculates an increase/decrease tendency value &Dgr;SOC of SOC on the basis of a residual capacity history (step S1), calculates an increase/decrease value &Dgr;Pe of a direct drive output Pe of an engine (sep S2), decides a charge amount Pch of a battery by a drive force of the engine on the basis of a charge amount regulation map (step S3), calculates an actual requirement output Preq added with the charge amount Pch of the battery and the direct drive output Pe of the engine (step S4), and makes the engine output the calculated actual requirement output Preg and also makes the engine charge the battery with power by an amount of the charge amount Pch (step S5). |
