PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dash pot which operates stably by allowing bubbles to remain in a cylinder during manufacture of the dash pot.SOLUTION: A dash pot (1) comprises: a cylinder (2); a plunger (3); a brake spring (4) which pushes the plunger (3) toward the bottom of the cylinder (2); a brake oil (5); and a pole head (7) enclosing the cylinder (2). The dash pot (1) is used while directing the cylinder (2) laterally. The plunger (3) has a groove (3d) elongating along the axis of the cylinder (2) on the upper side during use. Between the pole head (7) and the plunger (3), the brake oil (5) and the bubbles at least equal to the volume of the groove (3d) are contained. Depth and width of the groove (3d) are set so that the same force is required for advancing the plunger (3) to the pole head (7) side regardless of the presence or absence of bubbles. Consequently, the impact of bubbles in the cylinder (2) on the plunger (3) is reduced, and the travel speed is stabilized. |
