PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rope traction device which can prevent a moving speed of a wire rope from reaching a set value or higher.SOLUTION: An emergency brake device 200 arranged at the upper part of a traction device case is characterized by comprising: a rope fixing mechanism 214 for fixing a wire rope 2 by sandwiching it from radial both sides and releasing it so as to permit the movement of the wire rope; an operation mechanism 216 for operating the rope fixing mechanism to a fixed state and a released state; a holding mechanism 218 for holding the rope fixing mechanism at the released state by prohibiting the operation of the operation mechanism and operating the rope fixing mechanism to the fixed state by releasing the prohibition of the operation of the operation mechanism; and a speed determination mechanism 220 for holding the rope fixing mechanism at the released state when the moving speed of the wire rope is lower than a set value, and operating the rope fixing mechanism to the fixed state when the moving speed of the wire rope is not lower than the set value. |
