METHOD FOR TREATING CHRONIC HEPATITIS C IN IMMUNORESISTANT SETTING

A method for treating the chronic hepatitis C in the immunoresistant setting comprises the medicamentous correction of immune resistance. Metformin is administered at a dose of 20 mg/kg with the meals or after the meals for at least 3-6 months prior antiviral therapy and throughout the whole course of antiviral therapy. The initial dose of Metformin in adults is 500-850 mg once a day. In 10-15 days after beginning of antiviral therapy, the dose is gradually increased once a week by 500 mg.
