This stereo imaging device is provided with: a first imaging unit (350) which has an optical zoom function and obtains a first image, a second imaging unit (351) which obtains a second image, and an view angle adjusting unit (320) which extracts from the first image and the second image a partial image estimated to have the same view angle. The view angle adjusting unit (320) has: a vertical region calculation unit (322) which selects multiple image blocks corresponding to one another from the first image and the second image, and, on the basis of the relative positional relation in the vertical direction of the image blocks in each image, extracts the vertical image region estimated to have the same vertical direction range as the first image; a horizontal line number adjusting unit (325) which adjusts to a predetermined value the number of horizontal lines contained in the calculated vertical image region and the number of horizontal lines contained in the first image; and a horizontal matching unit (323) which performs stereo matching by comparing the signals of corresponding horizontal lines contained in the first and second images.
