PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a cathode for a lithium ion secondary battery with an increased filled amount of a cathode active material and increased density; and a lithium ion secondary battery with increased capacity and improved cycle characteristics using the cathode.SOLUTION: Graphene oxide dispersed in a dispersion medium is kneaded with a cathode active material, to produce a mixture. Then, the mixture is kneaded with a binding agent, to produce a cathode paste. The cathode paste is applied to a cathode current collector. After the dispersion medium contained in the cathode paste is vaporized, graphene oxide is reduced to form a graphene-containing cathode active material layer on the cathode current collector. |
