PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an obesity treatment technique for treating obesity and the other gastric-related diseases such as a gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) less in trauma and not more invasive than a procedure available at present.SOLUTION: A stomach is divided into a main pouch and a modified pouch to reduce an inner size of the stomach by a tubular proximity device having slots on mutually opposing sides to a longitudinal axis, slot-like first and second vacuum ports arranged in parallel with the longitudinal axis of the tubular proximity device and fasteners located in the tubular proximity device.
