PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate risk of losing a clip and to solve problem of contaminating environment.SOLUTION: A spring band clip, a removal tool, and a method of operating a spring band clip 1 are provided. The spring band clip 1 includes an annular curved clip band 2 having a first end portion 3 and a second end portion 4, which are arranged to form an overlapping region 5 and which are spaced radially from the clip band 2. A locking device 6, at least partially integrated in the first end portion 3, is structured and arranged to lock the clip band 2 in an expanded state. The locking device 6 comprises a latch 7 bent radially inwards from the first end portion 3 and a latching hook 8 disposed on an outer side of the clip band 2. |
