PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new and improved cash processing apparatus, cash processing method, and program capable of authenticating a user online.SOLUTION: There is provided a cash processing apparatus that includes: a communication unit for performing communication through a communication network with a server capable of authenticating a user; a storage unit for storing user identification information; an authentication unit for, when the communication with the server is not performed, performing offline authentication that is user authentication using the user identification information; and a control unit for performing control of presenting information on results of the offline authentication and information that online authentication, user authentication by the server, has not executed.
