The present invention relates to a method and assembly (6) for shaping a bag bottom (2). Such method comprises a step of providing a bag or envelope bag (1), which defines an inner compartment (4) suitable for containing at least one article, such as a food product, where such bag (1) is in a flattened configuration in which the inner compartment (4) is substantially collapsed, a step of providing a shaping assembly (6) which defines an outer perimeter (8) suitable for being least partially inserted in the bag (1), a step of engaging the outer perimeter (8) in the bag (1) and reciprocally moving the shaping assembly (6) and the bag (1). Lastly, the outer perimeter (8) is positioned at the bag bottom (2) so as to shape the latter and give the bag (1) an expanded configuration. |
