The drum wall (2) has a number of drop-shaped or shell-shaped bulges (4) with a continuous curved outline (41, 42, 43) and a single axis of symmetry (44) parallel to the circumference of the drum. The bulge is towards the center of the drum and is more steeply inclined towards one edge (41). For wet treatments, flow passages (8) are provided in the steep section. Alternatively flow passages can be provided between the bulges. |
