摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve power transmission efficiency by detecting change of a slipping state from a microscopic slip region and maintaining a slipping state right before occurrence of nonlinear slipping. SOLUTION: In the slip detector for a friction transmission device having an input shaft element, an output shaft element, and a transmission element respectively contacting these and carrying out power transmission from the input shaft element to the output shaft element by friction of a contact portion, a slipping determination means is provided for determining slipping states between the input and output shaft elements and the transmission element.
