PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device that allows a user to set functions relating to the recording format of image data without complicated operation. SOLUTION: An image pickup device 1 has a direct key 13 that is used to set functions relating to the recording format of image data obtained by taking images. The recording format is set to at least one of JPEG format and RAW format by operating an operation key twice or more. The image data is recorded in both compression file format and the RAW format by pressing the direct key 13 once.
