A backlight unit of a display device is provided to integrate the front end of a light guide with the bottom face of a diffusion sheet to split the diffusion sheet into a plurality of regions, thereby improving light splitting performance and the structural strength of the backlight unit. A backlight unit of a display device includes a light emitting unit(2), a light guide(4A), and a diffusion sheet(3A). The light emitting unit is divided into a plurality of regions which is individually driven and controlled. The light guide is located at the boundary of neighboring regions of the light emitting unit. The front end of the light guide is integrated with the bottom face of the diffusion sheet. |
