<p>The method involves forming a rectangular cross-sectional through-opening (50) in the wall of a component of a nuclear plant by using an electrical erosion process. A cut (64) is formed in the front side of the component with a saw (82) i.e. band saw, where the cut extends through the front side of the component. The saw blade (80) of the saw is inserted through the through-opening, where the saw blade moves in a direction of another cut (70) away from the direction of the former cut. An independent claim is also included for an apparatus for dismantling a component of a nuclear plant arranged under water.</p> |
