PURPOSE: A paper coffin for a funeral is provided to improve the durability by doubly forming a front plate, lateral plates, and a bottom plate, thereby preventing damage to the paper coffin during a funeral cortege. CONSTITUTION: A paper coffin (1) for a funeral includes a bottom plate (3), a front plate (4), a rear plate (5), a lateral plate (6), a cover plate (7), and a finishing plate (8). The front plate, the rear plate, and the lateral plate are folded to be erect on the bottom plate. A cover plate and a finish plate are arranged on the rear plate to be successively folded. The front plate includes a front inner plate (4a) to be folded to an outer side of a front outer plate (4b) connected to the bottom plate. The lateral plate includes a lateral inner plate (6a) to be folded to an outer side of a lateral outer plate (6b) connected to the bottom plate. A fixing plate (9) is formed between the front and rear plates to be integrated. The fixing plate is folded and fitted between the lateral inner plate and the lateral outer plate. A permanent magnet plate is attached onto the front inner plate and the lateral inner plate.
