<p>The electrolysis device comprises a water circuit (6) in which an electrolyzer (5), a collecting container (1) and a pump (2) are arranged, where water of the water circuit is pumped out of the collecting container to the electrolyzer by the pump, and the water circuit downstream of the pump branches into a first branch and a second branch, the electrolyzer is arranged in the first branch, and a heat exchanger (3) is arranged in the second branch to cool the water. The first branch comprises a first return line, which opens into the collecting container.
