<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves forming a key body blank (10) and placing bonding pads (pc) on a surface (s1) of the body for forming a universal serial busconnector (M). Mechanical polarizing slot (14) is formed with the key body in single piece, where the slot has a guiding element for guiding the surface of the body that carries contact pads and/or opposite surface. The element is realized in the form of a longeron parallel to an introduction direction of the connector. The slot is formed such that height of the element ranges between 0.5 and 2.5 millimeters relative to the surface. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for an electronic key comprising a key body. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for manufacturing a universal serial buselectronic key that is used by an electronic device such as personal computer, mobile telephone and printer. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The method manufactures the electronic USB key using the fabrication lines of chip card, thus reducing manufacturing cost of the key.
