A home management system, a home system, a home server and a method of operating the home server are provided to switch the home server from a power-saving mode to an operation mode according to a wake-up message or interrupt to receive a control message, thereby reducing power consumption and generation of noise in the home system. A home management system includes an integrated server(130), a mobile terminal(100) and a home system(140). The integrated server monitors the home system, records an event message of the home system, transmits a unicast packet including a wake-up message to the home system and transmits a recorded control message to the home system which is switched to an operation mode. The mobile terminal searches for the event message of the home system and provides a control message for changing a selected device state of the home system. The home system converts the unicast packet into a broadcasting packet and analyzes the broadcasting packet. The home system is switched from a power-saving mode to the operation mode to provide an alive message, receives the control message of the integrated server in an operation mode state and provides collected event messages to the integrated server. |
