An apparatus and a method for controlling an error in a data transmission system including a relay station are provided to decode data without the error by assembling previously-transmitted data and re-transmitted data when the re-transmitted data has an error. According to a relay station(100) transmitting data received from a transmitter(140) to a receiver(150), a data receiving part receives data from the transmitter. An error detection part detects the error generation of the received data. A data transmitting part transmits the received data and an error generation indicator for the received data to the receiver, when the received data has an error. |
