摘要 Systems and methods are presented to facilitate implementation of controlling memory management, e.g., garbage collection, of computer objects based upon determination of a source side weak event and associated components. A first class determines the existence of a listener and a second class, based upon an indication from the first class, determines whether the second class should "re-register for finalization" during execution of a finalizing operation. Where existence of the second class is maintained, existence of associated components such as the first class, a delegate, a listener, and the like, is continued and data, etc., continues to be published from the weak event to the listener. Where existence of the second class is no longer maintained (e.g., the second class does not re-register for finalization), the various components, e.g., the first class, the second class, a delegate, a listener, and any other objects are available for garbage collection.
