PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press device with two rotary encoders for monitoring the position of a ram.SOLUTION: In the press device configured to perform reciprocal movement of the ram 9 by a servo motor 25 with the rotary encoder 23, a fitting tool 33 is provided at a position corresponding to a tip part of a drive shaft 27 of the servo motor 25, and a rotary shaft 35S of the rotary encoder 35 supported by the fitting tool 33 is directly connected to the drive shaft 27 of the servo motor 25. Then, the fitting tool 33 includes one pair of support brackets 51 to be attached to a support bracket 21 supporting the servo motor 25, a rotation transmission member 39 with a part to be attached to the drive shaft 27 of the servo motor 25 and an intermediate shaft 41, and an encoder support member 49 with a through-hole for the intermediate shaft 41 and an attaching part for attaching the rotary encoder 35, and shaft centers of respective fixtures 63 attaching the both end sides of the encoder support member 49 to the one pair of support brackets 51 are provided in a misaligned state. |
