PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten grinding processing time for a single linear guide rail.SOLUTION: A linear guide rail is manufactured which is polished using a cross rail composite polishing machine 1 through the process of grinding and polishing both side surfaces wof a workpiece with a pair of form grinding wheels 5g, 5g and a head top part of the workpiece wwith a single form grinding wheel 6g, as the workpiece w in the state of a prefabricated rail mounted on a work table 2 moves to advance in a machine direction (MD).
