In order to prevent products to be chilled or frozen, in particular food products, from sticking to a belt when being processed with such belt, an apparatus (10; 110; 210) as well as a method for chilling or freezing such product (16) are proposed, comprising:
- a freezer (18; 118; 218) having a freezing chamber (21; 121; 221) therein in which a cryogenic substance is provided, and an inlet (17; 117; 217) and an outlet (19; 119; 219) in communication with the freezing chamber (21; 121; 221); and
- a plastic film belt (12) constructed and arranged to transport the product (16) from the inlet (17; 117; 217) through the freezing chamber (21; 121; 221) for exposure to the cryogenic substance to the outlet (19; 119; 219) for removal of the product (16) for further processing. |
