PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make efficient use of a printing apparatus by shortening stopping time of the printing apparatus when paper is depleted while carrying out a print job that includes a plurality of sizes of paper.SOLUTION: When detecting that some size of paper has been depleted while carrying out the print job using a plurality of different sizes of paper coexisting with each other, the image forming apparatus performs processing to eject substitute paper whose size is different from size of paper being used in the print job, to be replaced with a page that has not been printed yet in size of paper which has been depleted, and to continue printing of the page that has not been printed yet in size of paper which has not been depleted (S105-S109), and processing to inform of the size of paper which has been depleted (S110), and to print, when detecting replenishment with the paper whose size is the same as the size of paper which has been depleted, the page that has not been printed yet in the size (S114-S115). |
