PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated film width measurement method capable of correctly detecting a width direction position of the edge of a coated film without erroneous detection.SOLUTION: A coated film width measurement method includes: a step S3 of performing a first moving average processing for a profile P11 of a thickness direction displacement Y corresponding to a width direction position X of a coated member 10 and obtaining a first moving average profile; a step S5 of obtaining a first primary approximation straight line for a profile corresponding to a coated film sag part 13b of the first moving average profile; a step S6 of performing a second moving average processing for a profile P11 and obtaining a second moving average profile; a step 8 of obtaining a second primary approximation straight line for a profile corresponding to a coated film sag part c of the second moving average profile; and a step S10 of detecting the width direction position X at an intersection IP of the first primary approximation straight line L11 and the second primary approximation straight line L21 as a width direction position X11 of the edge of a coated film 13. |
