METHOD FOR GENERATION OF CHAPERONE ACTIVITY OF PEROXIREDOXIN USING IRRADIATION

PURPOSE: A method for activating chaperones of peroxiredoxin is provided to newly chaperones of peroxiredoxin derived from various animals and plants by irradiating the chaperones with radiation. CONSTITUTION: A method for activating chaperones of peroxiredoxin comprises the step of irradiating chaperone activity-free peroxiredoxin with radiation at 1-50 kGy. The chaperone activity-free peroxiredoxin is peroxiredoxin II F (Prx II F) with an amino acid sequence of sequence number 1. The radiation includes an electron beam or a gamma ray. A pharmaceutical composition for enhancing environmental stress resistance contains peroxiredoxin as an active ingredient.
