METHOD FOR EVALUATING AQUATIC ECOTOXICITY USING FLUORESCENT PROPERTY OF LEMNA PAUCICOSTATA

PURPOSE: A method for evaluating water toxicity is provided to shorten the time for evaluating water quality by twice or more using effective quantum yield as an index. CONSTITUTION: A method for evaluating water toxicity comprises the steps of: adding a fluid sample to a measuring container; adding Lemna paucicostata to the measuring container; culturing Lemna paucicostata; and measuring effective quantum yield of equation 2 (effective quantum yield = Fv'/Fm') using a fluorescent property of chlorophyll of Lemna paucicostata.
